Prime Sports Spotlight welcomes original proposals that make a sporting idea easier to understand. We are interested in clear explanations for general readers, not match reports, promotional copy or unsupported claims.

Ideas that fit

Pitch a focused subject such as how a rule shapes play, why a competition uses a particular format, what an item of equipment is meant to do, or how a sporting custom developed. Evergreen proposals are especially suitable when they answer a question readers can use to follow or understand a sport.

What makes a strong pitch

State the central question, the main point you would explain, the intended reader and the material you would use to check the facts. Show how the idea differs from common explanations and why it belongs here. Avoid claims that depend on confidential information, invented experience or specialist advice.

How to send it

Send proposals through the Contact page and select the editorial question option. A concise outline is enough to begin; please do not send a complete manuscript unless requested. Sending a proposal does not guarantee publication.
